Wedding days are filled with tons of raw, unscripted emotion, which is one of the many reasons why weddings are my favorite subject matter to photograph. A father's tears as he sees his daughter in her white dress for the first time, the bridesmaid's excitement for their best friend to be married, the nervous fidgeting of the grooms's fingers as he waits for his favorite girl to meet him at the altar; these moments are what magic is made of. Cameron and Kaitlyn's big day didn't disappoint. Their day was full of sentimental tears, powerful belly laughs, and genuine smiles that make you say "awwwwww" as you scroll through their album.
The wedding of Kaitlyn and Cameron's dreams was held at a new venue on the scene, The Woodland Manor. A touch of nature mixed with old country charm united to make this event truly special. The color scheme of navy blue and ivory could be spotted throughout the entire event, from lace tablecloths to bold floral center pieces.. The naturally-lush soybean field acted as the perfect backdrop for photos, and further symbolized the idea that, with enough TLC, beautiful beginnings can be born.
The look on Kaitlyn's dad's face when he saw his daughter as a bride for the first time was enough to reduce even the toughest of the tough to tears. I will never forget the feelings of overwhelming love and anticipation as she walked towards him for her grand reveal. Lips quivering, you could tell her father had dreamt of this very moment all his life. The tears didn't stop there, because Cameron's reaction to seeing his bride walk towards him was just as overwhelmingly-sweet. Tears of joy are what us photographers pray for when we go to bed at night, so as you can imagine, I was in hog heaven.
A beautiful, outdoor afternoon ceremony was the perfect special touch to an already stunning day. Puffy white clouds danced above us as the bride and groom said their "I Do's" in front of all their friends and family. Following their vow exchange, the new Mr and Mrs. Meads danced the night away under a large peak-top tent decorated to the nines. Finally, a special bubble-filled dance ended the night just as perfectly as it began.
I'm so excited to finally share this incredible wedding with you all, and I wish this special couple nothing but the best in their future together. Cheers to the new Mr. And Mrs. Cameron Meads!
