I love weddings. And I REALLY love photographing them. I love photographing weddings so much, that my little business took on over 30 weddings this year (AHHH *faints*). Needless to say, I have already jumped feet first into wedding season. But when my good friend from high school told me she was getting married to the love of her life and she wanted MY business to cover her wedding, I was MORE than happy to take on one more; even if it meant I had to be in two places at once.
Yep, you heard that right! TWO weddings, one day. Is that even possible, you ask?!? UMM YESS. But only with an amazing (let's re-do that... AH-MAAAAAZING) team of affiliates. So before I even get started, let me just first give a MAJOR MAJOR shout out to Ashley of Ashley Dorton Photography and Anina of Anina Kiddie Photography. Together, they helped my business cover a special wedding that was very near to my heart. The photos turned out to be everything we had hoped and planned for, and I'm so so proud to show them off!!
Samantha and Gus said " I Do" in a beautiful garden ceremony on April 30, 2016. Between the plentiful bright blossoms, the full Grumpy Growlers, and an endless supply of cupcakes, this event had a little something for everyone. A color scheme of burgundy, white, purple, and pink created a fancy and sweet, yet relaxed vibe, which I think are also words that perfectly describe Sam and Gus as a couple.
An outdoor white-tent reception party began immediately after Sam and Gus said their vows. They partied with their closest friends and family all evening; enjoying good music, great food, and of course, each other. A sparkler send off was the perfect way to end a perfect evening. The happy newlyweds gave their guests one last surprise as they drove off in a shiny, black Rolls Royce.
As always, I am soo thankful to have been a part of this sweet couple's special day. Growing up, I never could have guessed I would be documenting the weddings of so many dear friends from high school or how much joy it would bring to my life, but I am so so thankful to call this my "job".
Cheers to the happy couple, cheers to being busy, and CHEERS to Happily Ever After.
